Groundwork Counseling Center provides a safe space for individuals, couples, and families to work through life's challenges, build resilience, and foster hope. We focus on your strengths to support personal growth and emotional stability.

Marlene Ibarra, LMFT,  provides therapy for individuals, couples and families, navigate anxiety, stress and relationship challenges. Her approach is warm, direct and focused on helping you feel more grounded, supported and in control. 

As a Latina therapist, with over 10 years of experience, Marlene combines evidence-based approaches like EMDR, client centered, CBT, DBT, with a strong focus on the therapeutic relationship, creating a space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported. She offers bilingual services in English and Spanish.

As the founder of Groundwork Counseling  Center, Marlene is passionate about expanding access to affordable, quality mental health care in her community. 

Having navigated her own personal challenges, she understands how difficult it can be to feel stuck or overwhelmed. That experience now fuels her work – helping clients move through what they're facing and find greater clarity, stability and direction.
